Markus Lohmann – Shiny Holes
Landreform exhibition series, November 2008 - March 2009
Markus Lohmann's project, Shiny Holes, consists of seven molded mouseholes which the artist reproduced in chrome-plated bronze. These luxury-replicas are discreetly planted around the park. Upon walking by, their textured and natural surfaces are betrayed only by their sparkle and tubular perversion. The visual and physical qualities of the chromed dirt revalue the terrain.
