Parcella at Impex Contemporary Art Provider, Budapest
Exhibition of proposals, ideas, and documentation of the Parcella Series.
(English only)
The Parcella series was a collaboration between Skulpturenpark
Berlin_Zentrum and Lumen Photography Foundation. This final exhibition at
Impex presents the entire process as it was realized from curation to realization.
It features documentation from the actualized projects, and also presents
the proposals and ideas received from all of the invited applicants.
For the series, artists were invited to submit proposals
for site-specific work to take place during the summer of 2007. From the
invited applicants, Skulpturenpark worked with a joint German-Hungarian
curatorial team to select seven final projects. The goal of the project
was to open the idea of sculpture as a process and strategy with the potential
to reveal the site's social and historical layers while adding a creative
layer of its own.
