FALLOUT. A performative site inspection
Balz Isler leads the audience through the Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum. In an act of "processual appropriation" the artist and musician draws pictorial, sonic and spatial levels of reference. Personal observations meet real-political facts; socio-cultural peculiarities ecological conditions. The resulting collage paints a complex picture of our present, which Balz Isler approaches in a sensitive, humorous way.
Balz Isler studied time-related media at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. In 2011 he received the scholarship for the support of the next generation of artists and scientists at Hamburg universities. His performances take place in internationally renowned institutions, such as Kunsthalle Basel, NGBK Berlin, SAVVY Contemporary Berlin and Kunsthalle Zurich. Balz Isler lives and works in Møn.
