Daseins Zentrum

The artist collective KUNSTrePUBLIK, in cooperation with Boris Jöns, flanks the exhibition series 'Re-Turn' with neighborly experimental arrangements: discursive billboards, mobile meeting places and a "Daseins Zentrum".
The latter is located as a connecting building on the former border between East and West Berlin as an experimental infrastructure by and for neighbors, participating artists, visitors, lost bikers and the city as such.
The aim is to explore how being (sein) is composed in the current appearance of the sculpture park.

KUNSTrePUBLIK & Boris Jöns

KUNSTrePUBLIK is an artist collective founded in 2006. (Matthias Einhoff, Philip Horst, Harry Sachs - until 2010 with Daniel Seiple, until 2014 with Markus Lohmann). From 2006 to 2010 the collective was the operative superstructure of Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum. In changing roles, the collective experiments in different social fields. As artists, curators, researchers, and activists, they work with the help of situation-specific formats on a critical examination of art and the public sphere with the goal of actively defining the interface of urban research and artistic formats in public space, and of continually confronting the questions of a future of the urban anew. They share and test their experiences in exhibitions, interventions, performances, lectures and workshops.

In 2012, the Berlin part of the collective founded the Center for Art and Urbanism (ZK/U). The ZK/U sees itself as a laboratory of intermedial and interdisciplinary activities that deal artistically and scientifically with the phenomenon of the city. Through temporary thematic focus programs, the creative exchange condenses along contemporary issues.

In 2019, KUNSTrePUBLIK in collaboration with Tirdad Zolghadr (KW Berlin) conceived STATISTA, a sustainable use of the Haus der Statistik at Allesandersplatz with artistic works and discourses.
